What is Moulage? Moulage is the art of applying mock wounds or injuries for the purpose of adding realism to simulation teaching and learning activities. It adds to the emotional engagement of students within contemporary learning and teaching strategies for people in the emergency services, medical facilities and military environments.
Now in our third year of providing Moulage training, The Academy For Makeup Artists runs a 1 day Moulage Workshop and a 4 day Moulage Intensive as well as bespoke programs for larger groups and schools. The only makeup school in Sydney to provide Moulage training The Academy For Makeup Artists ( or TAFMUA ) counts the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Army and Australian Medical Student's Association as customers.
'It sounds gory but we can literally do any type of wound from a broken nose to 3rd degree burns, amputations and even evisceration' says TAFMUA owner and director Candice Tabone 'You are limited only by your imagination'.
If you are interested in learning more about moulage to enhance learning and teaching please give TAFMUA a call on 02 80075776 or email study@tafmua.com.au.
The next 1 day Moulage workshop and 4 day Moulage Intensive commences Sunday June 4th.
