4 Day Special FX Makeup Course

 

Learn professional Special Effects Makeup for TV and Film.

Duration: 4 days 10:30am - 4:30pm Sundays  &  Midweek

Cost: $1100

All products and materials supplied.

 

This course is suitable for students and makeup artists that want to learn more Special FX makeup techniques. The 4 day  course is perfect for students wanting to extend their skills and get more hands on experience in different areas of special FX makeup. On the last day of the course students design and apply makeup to their model and will be eligible for work experience in the area of Special FX.

This course is also an elective as part of the Advanced Certificate In Makeup course and includes theory and practice. 

 

Learning Outcomes

 

  • Equipment and use. Bruises, grazes, cuts, blood, broken nose and black eyes. Use of colour and patch testing.

  • Techniques for live injuries – car accident injuries, fight scenes and trauma

  • Bald cap application and techniques

  • Create an animal or creature by applying a prosthetic – use of materials to create nails, lay hair and colour to complete the look.
