10 Week Special FX For Screen
So you want to be a special FX makeup artist? Learn professional SFX makeup application, create characters and work on set!
Duration: 10 weeks Tuesdays and Wednesdays
TIme: 9:30am-4:30pm

This course has been especially designed for students wanting a career as a special FX makeup artist in TV and Film. Over 10 weeks students will learn a range of professional application techniques, make and apply bald caps, apply prosthetics, sculpt, design and create a character and work on an actual film set. Special units of study including script breakdown and continuity of makeup is taught as well as how to build your career as a special FX makeup artist. The final unit of study involves an all day character creation in front of a panel of leading industry creatives!
At the end of this course students receive a Certificate of Advanced Special FX Makeup for Film & TV.

1 Day Intro To Special FX
Not for the faint hearted!
Duration: 6hrs Sunday 10:30am - 4:30pm
Cost: $399
Class size: Maximum 12 students
The 1 day intro to SFX workshop is suitable for students without any previous experience in SFX. At the end of the course students will know how to use materials and apply them to create burns, cuts, bruises, black eyes, tears, scars, blood, sweat and a broken nose!
This workshop covers equipment use and includes a practical session.
Students that complete this workshop will be eligible for the 4 day advanced SFX course that follows on directly from this 1 day workshop. Discounts apply if you book all 5 days upfront.

4 Day Special FX Intensive
Learn professional Special FX makeup application for TV and Film.
Duration: 4 Sundays 10:30am - 4:30pm
Cost: $1100
Class size: Maximum 10 students
This course is suitable for students and makeup artists that have some basic knowledge of Special FX makeup. The 4 day course is perfect for students wanting to pursue a freelance career in TV, film and stage makeup. On the last day of the course students receive a certificate including a transcript of the subjects studied and will be eligible for work experience in the area of Special FX.
This course is also an elective as part of the Foundation In Makeup course and includes theory, demonstrations and practice. All products and materials supplied.
